Journal HokieSeas's Journal: 100k 7

At approximately 6:09 this afternoon, the black beauty passed 100,000 miles. Yippee!

I realized when I got home tonight the timestamp in the camera was set about 10 minutes ahead of actual time.

  • first off, that is a beautiful car. i absolutely love the older 911 targas... and that is in amazing condition. i can just here that wonderful air cooled 6c engine. man, that is really a pretty '11.

    • I am starting to put some money aside since I think I am getting close to needing to have the interior redone. Little things are adding up, such as seat leather seams starting to fray, some interior carpet starting to look worn. The big problem is the fiber mesh (or whatever they were) map pockets on the door are starting to tear and come loose, and some of the interior panels for the doors are working themselves loose and the mounting holes for the screws are being worn so they do not stay tight anymore. • Of the car being towed off from the fender bender you could have had while taking these :)
Just kidding. How is your A95 holding up? I have an A50, if you can believe it.
    • No, no third shot of a tow truck. ;) I was smart about it. I was the first car in the pack pulling out of a stop light, and Bodak initially had the camera, but with the way the dials are all angled towards the driver, he didn't have a good angle to see the numbers, so with clear road ahead of me, I took the pictures.

The A95 is holding up well. Alot better than my previous camera, but then again, I did get that one pretty cheap and refurbed. But I know I am not taking the full advantage of what it could do
  • Those are some cool gauges. VDO's and stuff. I love it... the tachometer is bigger than the speedometer. Obviously, I am not a man of the world, as far as real cars go, but that is pretty cool.

How many speeds does that thing have? Again, I have not been exposed to such things, but please, humor me.
    • It's a nifty little 5 speed, even though around town I don't get it out of fourth too much. Second gear is really alot of fun. Alot of torque in there that puts you back into the seat a little bit. Which sometimes actually causes problems for me since I am a bit short, I have to lean foward against the pull a bit to throw it up into third. :)
  • It passed 100K a couple months ago.
