Journal Deamos's Journal: Boredom and dogs.. 4

I'm bored so I have been toying with my digital camera and photoshop.

I have to say, Photoshop sucks up more ram than just about anything else I've ever seen short of say Morrowind.

Anyway, I would like to introduce you to Fozzy Bear. Bear as we call him for short is the most docile dog I've ever met. Let's face it, while he enjoys barking at anything that enters his domain; which seems to be most of the town, he'd much rather have a good chest scratching than bite anyone. :)

He loves to bark and he'll run up and down a set of stairs when you go up or down the steps, and when he thinks he's going out or across the yard to greet you, but otherwise there is no getting him riled up.

So far in eight months of living around him I've not heard him growl even once. Heck I can't even rile him up enough to play tug of war with me.

But people are afraid of him because he's a big dog even for a Golden Retriever he's a bit big, but I've never met a more harmless animal or less intimidating to be honest.

Oh and I've captured him in pretty much his natural state, half-way asleep and yet perfectly willing to wag his tail, thumping it against the floor. I like to joke that I am striving to attain his level of Zen, he can bark his brains out for ten minutes then be perfectly calm and serene as seen in the picture a second later as if nothing happened.

We should all be so lucky to live a life like he does, people who love us, food freely availible and a roof over our heads.

    • Ugh, considering the jokes some of my friends and I used to make I unfortunatly can imagine.

      However that's just not right..
  • You can tell Photoshop how much memory it's allowed to grow from the Preferences.

Alternatively, you could go buy some more memory for your PC.

Needless to say, with 3GB of RAM on my desktop PC, I don't have much trouble with Photoshop these days... :D

    • Eh, I only use Photoshop once in a while right now.

I am not going to upgrade my computer any further, I am slowly building my "Build a new computer" fund.

The machine at home has a gig of ram, and that's enough since I don't do anything too insane with photoshop, but it really is a useful tool... Even if I have no idea what I'm doing with it most of the time. :)

What the gods would destroy they first submit to an IEEE standards committee.

Working...
