Georgian Democracy - Apparently, our own Arizona Republic needs a geography lesson.

Suns lose - Am I the only ticked off at the fact that none of the western conference games seem to get televised on ABC? Yeah, I'm one of the few Americans left without cable, so I can't watch the games on TNT. At least the away games are on our local station. Anyway, I'm hoping Joe Johnson's injury isn't gonna cost the Suns their much deserved Championship title :-) Series stands at 1-1.

Weather - Woohoo. It's looks like we'll be breaking the triple digit barrier tomorrow.

    • Reminds me of a CNN map graphic during the buildup to the Iraq war, showing central Europe, with a big country in the middle surrounded by Denmark, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.

      The big country [wikipedia.org] in the middle? Clearly marked IRAQ.

      I said at the time, I hope this isn't the Pentagon's map...

    On a side note-- need to do a JE about taking my wife to the d-backs tuesday night. Amaré Stoudemire was there.

    I just finished lunch at Baby-K's and it is freaking nice out. Bring on the triple digits baby! I'm an AZ boy. It's a dry heat. Now all those canadians mentioned above will finally be heading home and I can enjoy a more sane drive time.

    And to keep with the local topic-- I'm glad they caught those guys who shot that cop

      • I check it just about every day. I wonder if my spam filter grabbed it. I just hopped over to the web interface my ISP has and saw your message from yesterday and shot you a quick reply.

        Things are very likely to get crazy for us in a few weeks - looks like my wife will need surgery again so it would be cool to do something fun.
  • Send some of that excess heat to MN soon. We have an expected upcoming low of 40F tomorrow night. There was talk of possibly snow flurries a couple days ago. It's mid May and I'm so cold. On the plus side, my light jacket which I bought not too long ago is seeing a good amount of use.
