Journal Cy Guy's Journal: Bolton Lackey Rigged Elections for Marcos in the Phillipines 4
The story or Matthew Freedman may finally be the shovel of dirt that buries the Bolton nomination. While others have noted the general sleaziness of having a lobbyist who admits he's not the most qualified candidate for the job working as a part-time $100k/year consultant for a federal agency, I'm most intrigued by one specific part of Freedman's resume:
"Republican election specialist Eddie Mahe was retained by the USG to analyze and defeat the Marcos election-rigging schemes.
"Meanwhile, Matt was among those helping the Marcos family to carry out such schemes.
Is anyone else intrigued by the fact that John Bolton, who was one of Bush's main tacticians in the FL recount battle, has been paying an underqualified consultant $100k/yr since then who had previous experience rigging elections for Marcos in the Phillipines?

The question:
Is there anything to substantiate these claims about Freedman? All I can see is that he worked for the Marcos family. The USG played every side in that deal until they saw which way it would go-- didn't want to lose Subic or Clark.
So anyway-
