Journal after5's Journal: Abbey Road 3

After breakfast this morning I went about to spend some of my father's hard earned money. I mean, um, try to reconcile the problems I have been having whilst here at Worcester (pronounced Wooster) College.

My laptop issues have been resolved, apparently my ethernet card died on me, so I found a place to sell me a replacement, I am no online in my dorm room.

Now on to the more important matter, the guitar. I found one. I was able to bring the owner down by about 20 pounds and he even was nice enough to throw in a gig bag for it. I now have a pretty nice looking jet black guitar, it even says made in England on it. I'm quite happy. I can now relax properly by sitting out under a tree and entertaining myself for an hour or two.

Thank you family for making this possible.

I shall begin the process of creating a portfolio of a few pictures that i have taken thus far. The number is currently about 2000 or so. But I'll pick a few and upload them to a website that everyone will be able to access. I hope you'll enjoy them.

In the mean time, I am now going to read a quick chapter of ethics prior to class. I'll talk about classes at a later point, let me just say though, that this is going to be a fun summer.

(Fun after the art/music classes are over with.)

  • I'm happy that you found a guitar that you can work out your frustrations with. Abbey Road guitar idea sounds cool. How's the food?
  • The food is excellent thus far. Our dining hall is an acoustically challenged building arranged like the one in Harry Potter. Three long tables running parallel with a headmaster table that spans them all at the far end of the room. It gets pretty cramped sometimes since the Brits don't give us much elbow room when they set our places, but that's a minor travesty.

We are served breakfast from 7.30 - 8.45 am, typically eggs, some form of pig, and hashbrowns. Cereals and fruits are also available.

Dinner's are also excellent and come in three courses. Our appetiser course ranges from prawns to melon pieces, and the dinners are usually some form of meat (typically turkey or chicken) with two veggies. Desserts are wondrous, we've had chocolate cake, lemon pie, and fresh strawberries with cream. Tonight I believe we are having chocolate flake.

Our meals are served to us by Oxford students who wish to make some spending money during the summer.

Oh yeah, tonight is Lasagna night ;-).

In short, our food is very good. I haven't ventured out into town to see what the real local stuff is like, but I'll figure that out by this weekend.

    bye bye
  • I'm so happy they are taking good care of you over there (the food sounds wonderful). Enjoy your new guitar! We look forward to seeing all of the pictures... whenever you happen to get them uploaded that is. I miss you!
