Journal Journal: How many degrees from Kevin Bacon are you?
So this morning Marlow was talking a bit about the PPE (People, Places, Events) modeling, and on a random caveat mentioned that he's met Linus Torvalds (long ago, Linus probably doesn't even remember him. They just happen to speak the same languages). When Andrea (my wife) and I were chatting over dinner tonight, I had the random thought of "Gee, I'm now two degrees away from Linus Torvalds." Then we started talking about the "Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game that you can play with movies. Apparently, there's a thread on Wedding Channel where people are posting how many degrees they're separated from him. Funny stuff. I wondered if I could get to him via Linus, but then I realized I'd probably have better luck going through Troy, the director of the talent agency that I work for.
Andrea won free tickets to Evita from a local radio program yesterday. We went to the show tonight, and it was really fun! The girl playing Eva wasn't the strongest on the extreme high and low notes-- of course, I'm comparing her to Madonna's movie performance. She did fine. The real star of the show was the guy playing Che (played by Antonio Banderes in the movie version, for those of you keeping track). He played it great, and his voice was just really expressive.
We put a bunch of chicken in to marinate with some yogurt and seasonings for dinner on Sunday. Just on a whim I marinated some chicken in yogurt the other week to see what it would be like, and it was awesome!! It almost had a Greek flavor-- maybe souvlaki? We wanted to do it again some time, so we're going to make it for her family on Mother's Day.
