Journal Journal: People who have problems coping with being wrong.

Ok, rant mode on.

You know when you see two people having an argument over IRC or something, and one person, who is obviously wrong (Thanks to a quick check of the facts via google) thinks they are right above all else and resorts to calling the other person stupid, dumbass etc etc. Usually I like to step in with the facts and prove the asshole wrong. Now depending on the type of person, they will either 1. Deny it entirely 2. Accept their loss and get on with their life (rare) 3. Accept their loss but blame it on something entirely unrelated or attempt to distract from the real issue.

I tend to find that option 3 is the most common, and what can I say, I can't stand these people. For example a person came into a chat room saying they had just ridden in a porsche GT3 and it was so fast and it cornered at like 120 mph. Another person jokingly interjected with his statement that he flew in a plane once and it went like 500 mph around corners and that it was so fast. The "porsche rider" as we'll call him, simply said planes don't go that fast, they only go like 300 mph. I decided to google it, as I was pretty sure they went about 500 (I'm Canadian, I don't understand all this miles crap) and my suspicions were correct and I quickly piped in to settle the discussion.

Mr. Porsche rider had no comment to his defeat but simply went on the offensive with statements like "He was comparing a plane to a car I mean wtf kind of comparison is that?" and so on and so forth.

Hey buddy, ACCEPT YOUR DEFEAT! Get on with your life please.

Rant off.

Peace.
