Why cant you trust me?
Work 20 years, frontlines, hard times.
Now I don't see
What is going through your feeble minds.

Had to stay away for a few days.
Didn't know what to say about your new way.
I can tell your style won't play.
See right through your transparency.

Back today and nothing's changed.
You're still driving blind,
I'm in a rage
Smolder at my desk all day
Rip your throat out if I hear you say
Thanks for your help now go away

Bloated execs call the shots
More for the haves, less for the nots.
Writing is on the wall
Here's what you do and then that's all

Where's the challenge, where's the thought?
Keep on trying with a new idea,
Just keep it away from me!
Now the end is in sight.
Looks like all along, I was right.

Need to take back what is ours,
Go it alone is better by far.
Cloak of religion they hide behind
What if we say "damn right we mind"?!

Stand up for what we know is right
Go away they just might, can't believe they'd survive a fight

More time goes by without result
People die and our power is lost
Once a proud local symbol
broken down little by little

On their hands 5,000 more
Soon the state will come
lock the door
