Journal Journal: iBill about to do an ENRON?

iBill's purpose in business is to provide an easy-to-use, secure means of accepting online payments. Most web-fronted business are happy to let iBill skim a little off the top to avoid the hassle of handling payments themselves. Lately, they've been skimming it all.

The owner of one high-traffic site says "(IBill) has not been paying out for almost 4 months now." For a busy operation like his (not fieldlines.com), 4 months with no cashflow has got to be nerve-wracking.

Since iBill is apparently the world's largest internet payment service, how many other business are being strung along? If it turns out to be a house of cards that falls like another ENRON, there will doubtless be many little guys taken down with it.

Journal Journal: Interesting Alt/Renewable/Home Energy forum

I've been hanging out here (as RatOmeter).

There are quite a few DIY'ers who frequent that forum who've built their own home energy production systems, mostly wind generators.

Quite an interesting place, if you're so inclined.

Journal Journal: SCO are litigious bastards

Hi.

I've been with /. long enough to have forgotten and otherwise lost the passwords to my original account name (ratometer) as well as a few others.

I guess I just got frustrated and started posting as 'CmdrTaco (luser)' and 'robslimo'.

Never have I trolled with these accounts, but it's kind of interesting to see the moderation aberrations that occur on some of my posts... must figure I'm a clone, that I must be trolling. Hmm.

BTW, the people at SCO are litigious bastards

-Moderators: please leave /. journals alone.
