Journal Journal: Very strange

So I moderated an artical "funny" according to a medamoderating report... which is not funny at all... actually it's very informative. I wasn't the only one to mark it funny either which honestly suprises me...

I'm usually very careful about how I moderate things and rarely bother to mark anything as funny at all. Maybe it was a mistake on my part, I do remember being tired that night. Still it seems unusual to have 2 people incorrectly rate something funny.

Journal Journal: hmmm

Interesting.... since my experiment in re-posting sorta similar ppls stuff over I generally started getting more mod ups... interesting.... guess I got karma whore bonuses. lol... or I'm finally in tune. Not that I really have much interesting to say most of the time so really I'm only a slight poster.

Honestly I feel like my posting quality has gone down in some ways lately. As a researcher, I'm used to spending hours looking up extra links, confirming my points with facts and examples when possible... etc.... I started initially putting that time in my posts here too, however, by having less time (and shorter posts) lately I guess more people bother to read it. Maybe I'll add a "Click for More..." if I have the urge to write a longer one and put it in this journal.... maybe that will be my only real use for this then... ya... fun idea. I like the research even if it's not read so much since it keeps me sharper.

Journal Journal: repeated thoughts

Well I feel like I proved my point about how if you just repeat what someone else says it will get modded up more... I very rarely get modded up yet on one were I posted a comment which was really a whole topic a couple of years ago it got modded up. And lets note that the last time the topic had been posted it was a doob from before... so no way it could have failed.. ROFL. Plus add a sort of shameless promoting of a friends page in there.. lol

Journal Journal: Fortune

My fortune for today reminds me of my first post:

write faster, and I can write
faster than anybody who can write better.

Journal Journal: repeated thoughts

I was thinking about some of the comments about how often people get rated insightful for simply repeating something well-known or something somone else said already. On that thought I'm thinking about repeating my own thoughts over and over within the discussion. I caught myself arguably doing this at one point when I made two seperate arguments for having good hiring staff in order to find and hire good people. Although the argument was presented totally differently and the rest of the arguments were not related in the two posts. Maybe by the second time a thought is read it simply sinks in better. ;)

Journal Journal: Lost

Sometimes I feel like any insightful thing I say is simply lost in a crowd of faster posting less detailed or less researched opinions. Most of what I want to say and what I put actual research into is lost in the mix, behind some semi-funny comment or equally idiotic point made for the 6th time. Real research and link collection often takes time, which in the end comes to late to be seen.
