I have been experimenting with Linux distros that run exclusively in RAM - Puppy Linux being one, DSL another. What is your favourite and why?

Worked in educational computing for the past 20 years. Now running a social enterprise specialising in sustainable computing and Free Software solutions. Chair of Schoolforge UK and a member of X.org and sometime contributor to the LTSP project. Schoolforge promotes and supports the use of Free, Libre and Open Source Software in schools - working closely with Becta and the others interested in getting FLOSS more involved in schools.
