Well, I know nobody will read this, yet I had to say it anyway.
Yesterday, for the first time, I submitted a story to Slashdot. And it was rejected. I was disappointed but not surprised, until I read
today's story referring to the very same article on CNN.
EXCEPT THEY SCREWED IT UP!
The story refers to an archaeologist finding possible evidence of human settlement in North America 50,000 years ago. But whoever submitted the story screwed it up, and quoted 25,000 years ago.
Did the editor even read the article that the story referred to? The subtitle of
the CNN article clearly says 50,000 years, as does the article.
So they rejected my correct summary of the article (including the same link to a
Wikipedia article about the Clovis culture, but they accepted some other guy's inaccurate submission?
Well, I guess I've learned my lesson.
