I just saw a journal and decided to do a little somethin. The one I saw was FortKnox's. I think the journaling thing is pretty neat. Iv'e read about journaling and blogging in various places. I love the net.
I am at work in my office in the back of a headshop. I personaly do not work in the headshop in and of it's self. The owner and I are best friends and we are building websites and selling product on them. All kinds of products, but don't think headshop or you'll be going in the wrong direction. The back of the shop just happens to be where my office is. I have a nice office with a colorful deep purple(not the band, jeez, just because it's a headshop does'nt mean we're stuck in a bygone era) tapestry hanging over my door. The fabric is light enough that I can kind of see whats going on in the headshop in front of me, and I can mostly hear everything. Believe me, stuff happens.
But I am back here with one of the companies desktops(the only computer at the headshop, mine and mine alone, ALL Day Long!!!!!!!!) and my laptop that I own and bring with me every day. The desktop is running XP, and I use Dreamweaver and Photoshop on it most of the day. My laptop is running Libranet Gnu/Linux 2.7, and I have headphones attached to it that I use to listen to the Art Bell show everyday, and various CD's and a 120 gig IEEE1394 external hard drive chock full of mp3's.
Also, at present, I'd like to mention one of the few CD's I have purchased in the last year and a half, Chris Robinson "New Earth Mud". He's the singer from the Black Crowes, and his solo album is really a nice work. He's a very impressive fellow in certain ways. When I bought it, I also got George Harrison's All Things Must Pass. This should be handed out at birth, and you should find a copy in hotel room drawers.
At any rate, my company is a small survivor of the dot com bust, and we're still treadin water and building a comback after a large loss due to some partner splitting and intrigue, but always remember, that company you see with some degree of a strong web presense, may just be run out of the back office of a headshop and a garage. We'll , our bedrooms too. It don't stop just because your at home.
