Journal Journal: WoW

So I finally fell, I just invested in my very own copy of World of Warcraft. It was an awesome game when I was playing it in beta and its sweet now. I guess they just started their PvP honour system wich is sweet too.

Journal Journal: Post failure --ALERT--

So yeah, I just wrote a big long synopsis of my Rome trip, put a link to something totally unrelated at the bottom, clicked it to make sure it worked, and lost all of my synopsis.

Yeah that sucked, and I DONT feel like typing it all over again, if it comes out of my fingers it will follow if not, oh well. Rome was great everyone was really nice, the food was good, the buildings were good. I miss it, I want to go back. The news says Anti-American sentament is rising over there, but i think that is bull--ony becasuse not one person treated us poorly as americans there. Oh well, Yeah it was definately like 50000 times longer before, and I'm just too lazy to type it all again. Ask me questions about my trip if you want email: ryantucker1986@gmail.com or you can AIM me at: ryantucker1986. Whichever you want.

and now for the link that caused all this trouble...check out Anarchy Online Its a sci-fi MMORPG that just went free because they started to sell in-game advertisment. Have fun, and till next time, bye.

Journal Journal: Meta-Meta Moderating

I just got meta moderated unfair :( however, taken in context i'm sure that mine was a fair moderation. I think /. should impliment meta-meta-moderation, so that people who just click random buttons and finish meta modding in 10 seconds do not get the bonus of mod points.

In the World of Warcraft "I cant play my used copy article" I modded a post about the character naming rules, which had nothing to do with the post or article as offtopic. But clearly it wast on topic. Oh well, I'll get over it.

Journal Journal: /. related most of you wont care about this one

Does anyone else wish that Mod points lasted longer than three days?

I do, I find that I get the points only when subjects I dont know about/care about are on slashdot. It would even be cool if the three day "use" period didnt start until you used the first of the 5 points. I think thats a good idea. Anyone know where I can send it to the /. people?

Journal Journal: R-Kelly?

haha, tonight at work this kid, Rob, gave his phone number to some girl that looked like she was maybe 14 it was hilarous. He came over to me and was like "I think I'll go talk to that girl" and I just looked at him and laughed. I told him he should wait untill she turned 18 (he is 18 by the way) but I guess he didnt want to listen. He gave her his number. And uh yeah, then the whole store of workers found out and he turned red. It was funny. Oh well.

Journal Journal: Tired--wait no

ahh i'm tired, and i was going to rant on about how tired I was, but they I thought for a while and realized. Hey, no one cares that I'm tired. So I'm not going to rant about that, I'll probably rant about people ranting about things that only they care about.

Then only reason I'm ranting about "this" subject is because I know I'm not the only one that gets annoyed by people's rants about nothing.

I think part of the reason my Journal doesnt have an entry every day is because I need to have something with substance to say in order to say it. If I just posted every day for the sake of posting, my genuinily profound posts would lose their meaning. Or, they would become harder to spot. No one wants to sift through sand to find a ring. So i'll spare you the trouble by not posting crap.

Following the tradition of putting links in here of what I'm currently interested in. Check out the Open Beta for Ray Crash Thanks goes out to Steve Smigs for letting me know about it.

Journal Journal: Stormriders Online

Alright, so I applied for an online beta test the other day. I got accepted yesterday, but hadn't had a chance to play until today. Its an online RPG that slightly resembles World of Warcraft. A tad bit less graphicly stimulating, and a bit more confusing.

Overall I give it a good score though 7/10. The learning curve is basically gone by level 7. If your interested in checking it out...Stormriders Online is at least a good month of fun.

Journal Journal: Journal/Thoughts

So the other day I was thinking of finding a place where I can just spill my mind sometimes. I was considering making a livejournal, but I think that livejournal's are for 10 year old girls and a few guys who are friends with those 10 year old girls (sorry if you are a 10 year old girl or a guy who is friends with a 10 year old girl and are offended by that). Then I remembered that I wasn't really utilizing my Slashdot Journal. And this is a lot more "nerdish" and therefore more acceptable for a guy to write in.

I dont know if any of you have ESPN Motion. But I would suggest looking into it if you dont. Its a pretty nifty thing with sports information, highlights, and my favorite feature, the sports guy mini-episodes. They are about 1 or 2 minutes long and have a nice amount of humor in them. At least enough to make me smile.

I really didn't want NE to win the superbowl. I thought they would from the beginning, but I was hopping for an Eagels victory. When the Eagles stayed so close, I EXPECTED an Eagles victory, but I guess it was too much to ask. I'm still holding out hope for Detroit next year (the lions, not the Eagles winning the superbowl in Detroit). Its a team that I want to see do well. I think I will follow them and the Colts most closely next year because "Its a Nation of Blue".

I'll be writing in here more than once a month now, I think it will become a regular when I have a profound thought, or something to complain about.

Journal Journal: When I got borred

Yesterday at work I got extrememly bored. It was a slow day and nothing exciting was happening so i made a throwing dart out of a pen cap, three screws, a nut, and price tag stickers. Wow I have too much time, but it was pretty fun and it works great, went in the back and played darts on the boxes!
