so i've been looking at http://www.aa419.org/ since it was posted here on /. with their loadvampire http://www.aa419.org/ladvampire.html but there was something missing... I wanted to know just how much bandwith am I makeing the 419 sites use. I have a vage idea with the number of sites hit but that's it also there is no way to control how much bandwith you use so I made a small(ish) java applet(application) to do the same thing http://engert.us/419/(note I only have 786 up and that's used a lot of the time for bittorrent so be kind to my bandwith) it is fairly simple and I put the source up on the page. the input is just a text file. when you run it as a applet you can tell it where to grab the text file if you don't it will default to mine. that text file must start with the number of sites in the list then have a site one per line. I don't think that unix line returns will mess it up but I have not tested that.
