Journal: New initiate of Nerddom

I've pretended to read Slashdot for years. Bored while surfing, I'll occasionally load the home page, skim some headlines, and pretend to know what people are talking about.

No longer! I've put my foot down. Now, I'm either going to actually read Slashdot, or I'm going to stop pretending to know hwat I'm talking about.

I have, more than once, dreamed of earning some level of renown in "nerd culture", and I would love to think that becoming a frequent and intelligent commentor on /. will help me do that. But frankly, I don't much care right now. I'm only 18...I'll be what I can be.
