BRANSON, MO (STL.News) â" Keeping Table Rock Lake clean is important to all who enjoy fishing, boating, and other forms of recreation at this popular southwest Missouri reservoir. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is recognizing The Harbor Marina for the special steps itâ(TM)s taking to keep sewage out of Table Rock.
On Thursday, June 27, MDC Fisheries staff presented a $61,000 check to Pat Cox of The Harbor Marina. The check, which provides reimbursement for installation of mobile pump-out facilities, was issued as part of the U.S.

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (STL.News) Â-- While Governor Mike Parson was traveling outside the country, the powers of Governor were devolved upon Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe. Governor Parson was effectively absent from the state from June 23, 2019, through July 2, 2019. During this timeframe, Lieutenant Governor Kehoe was given consent to move on certain action items.

Journal Journal: Alabama Governor Ivey awards grants to help abuse victims in east Alabama

MONTGOMERY, AL (STL.News) â" Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has awarded grants totaling $503,300 to help two nonprofit organizations in east Alabama to continue providing services to victims of child abuse and sexual assault.
The grants will fund a variety of services to assist victims in Chambers, Lee, Macon and Tallapoosa counties.
âoeChildren or adults who have been abused or sexually assaulted deserve access to professional assistance that helps them begin the healing process in safe places,â Ivey said.Â

Journal Journal: Arkansas Governor Hutchinson Issues Executive Order to Create the Arkansas Levee

$10 million will be available through ADEM for immediate repairs
LITTLE ROCK, AR (STL.News) â" Earlier this month, the state experienced record flooding that impacted a number of communities along the Arkansas River, causing extensive damage. Several levees were impacted, as a result, including the breach of the Holla Bend Levee in Yell County. For those reasons, Governor Asa Hutchinson yesterday issued Executive Order 19-10 to create the Arkansas Levee Task Force to study and analyze the current conditions of the stateâ(TM)s levees.

Journal Journal: Delaware Population Consortium Bill Signed

Dover, DE (STL.News) â" On May 14, 2019 Senate Bill 7 was signed by Governor John Carney which formally creates the Delaware Population Consortium (DPC). The DPC has prepared, without formal designation, a unified set of statewide population projections annually since 1975. This new legislation formalizes the DPC, identifies its membership and work products, and requires that all counties, municipalities, school districts, and State agencies use the DPC projections for planning and policy purposes.
Having one authoritative set of demographic and population projections for Delaware is vital to efficient and effective land use planning, economic development, school planning and other state functions.Â

Montpelier, VT (STL.News) â" Vermont Attorney General T.J. Donovan announced that the State of Vermont has taken a major environmental action to protect Vermontâ(TM)s drinking water and natural resources by filing two lawsuits against companies for the manufacturing and distribution of PFAS chemicals and PFAS-containing products in Vermont. The lawsuits name the 3M Company (3M) and E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (DuPont) and related DuPont companies as the major chemical makers who manufactured and distributed PFAS chemicals and related products.
