Journal Journal: Fandango is a trojan
Just got seriously burned when I went to buy tickets at Fandango. After I made the purchase, I went to go back to my home page (I did not press the continue button because it is just another bait and switch).
Instead I was subject to a bunch of pop-ups, Norton discovered a trojan it could not delete. After much work (Norton was worthless), I think I cleaned up my box (had to go into regedit, taskmanager, clean up things manually) rebooted ran my spyware scanner one last time, killed memorywatcher.exe for the 100th time, ran it again and appear to be clean.
Suggest that paying an extra dollar per ticket is not worth the effort. Anybody else go through this routine??
