I was recently in the market for a new car. Initially my search started with EVs. Part of my needs required something good in snow/cold/long distances. While doing research I came to find several EV owners who had regular gas powered cars for winter driving due to EV performance being shit in the winter.

No EV for me til they make significant improvements to that and the charge time.

The US has about 88 people per square mile while most countries are well north of 100 or 1000 people per square mile.

How can we encourage these densely populated countries to reduce their populations in order to reduce energy needs?

Covid came through my, and my parents house at the same time. Everybody caught covid except for my unvaccinated dad (70s, overweight, comorbidities, not known for leading a healthy lifestyle, spends a lot of time lazing around) We were all afraid for him but he never caught it...

I changed jobs during covid as well. A contact at BigTechCo had worked with me in the past and had a need for a specific skillset. Everything about this job is better than my old job. More pay, better benefits, no more overtime, permanently remote, yes please.
