Journal: Accurate Advertising

Saw this nice little ad here on /. today:

"Microsoft Visual Studio .NET makes your big ideas even bigger" ..I think they have a winner there. Heck, how can you even begin to argue against it?

Microsoft would just fire up emacs and gcc and write a shiny "Hello, World" dialog for GTK or QT, then re-create the feat in a snap using VS .NET, and show you that obviously the resulting executable is a lot bigger.
