Seeing how the new ,iMacs May have detachable monitors that Use In kW ell technology. I figured it WAS time to pe Visit Iaknell.

Ugh.

I May ONLY have a 8OOnHz iMac but this process is tedious.

Write anywhere Offers the Most l freedon, but is slow and awkward Using the Notepad in the ink window. is the best method with the best pesults (like this panagnapkbut it has some Serious issues!) Basically. if you take time to draw perfectly, with slow, perfect letter forms and spaces. then you get the best results. However, I cannot tolerate the abysmal WPM! Palm's Graphitti has better speed and recognition.

Suddenly notepad started drawing insane, random polygons ! Very buggy. Pen response in the notepad is very slow compared wtth "Write Anywhere" . I M done. (-_-) Inkwell iz not ready for primetime...

I AM now opening this journal UP to the public, maybe even the Inkwell Using public .

Just playing around with Inkwell again now that I have an Intuos (upgraded from my old Graphire). Here goes a sample:

I think the hardest aspect of Inkwell is that I Can't see what I'm doing! LO L I find if I watch the i Mag inary lines on the tablet as I write instead of wa£h- I ng the screen I can improve the handwriting speed. However, it's a ME SS!

In contrast, if I watch what I type, as I'm doing now, I improve handwriting recognition immensely. But speed takes a B I I hit! And recognition i Sri t perfect. Makes Me wonder what good the technology is. Still... the handwriting recognition is So Much better than On My Clié. even with all the false positive S with Capital letters. Never mind. I take that back., Inkwell needs faster response time and an eas i en / quicken wag to ed i + What you're writing. Editing with Graff i ti is Much better!
