Everything is going fine. /. is much more enjoyable this way, I don't miss the usual discussion on each story. I'm reading the same amount of stories and I'm spending less time on each. So far I only wanted to read a couple of stories without this funny filters.

I read in a comment in /. some time ago that said (paraphrasing):

"+5 to Funny, -5 to everything else. Bring it on"

That's what I'm going to do. I'm bored with reading /. the way I've been doing (i.e. browsing at +4), moderators don't do a good job. Let's see how it goes.

Why the subject?

1 - It's my first journal entry.
2 - I find l33t speak both amusing/interesting and idiotic. Interesting because it can be a nice exercise to try to "l33tify" some phrase and see where you stop recognizing it (i.e. it becomes meaningless or ambiguous). Idiotic because some people use it as a badge trying to feel superior (like people* who say latim or obscure words in a regular conversation).
