According to the Canadian Brodcasting Corp. CBC a Vancouver-area company is set to publicly demonstrate its new quantum computer next week in what may be the first time the paradigm-shifting technology leaves the research laboratory.

Today I finally got my Ubuntu disks. I ordered 40 of them to give away as they have both a Ubuntu Linux install disk and a Open c.d./Gnoppix Live C.D. included. I advertised on the Linux and Open Source Users of Regina Saskatchewan LOSURS Gnu/Linux Group, and sent some out by Canada Post today!

Wow, nine years have gone by since I moved into this tiny Village I call home. One school for the children, one church in the Village, one Grocery store, one car dealership, one lake to fish and swim in, one theater, one fire engine to ride in, one great place to grow one family.

Certainly one of the best things I did learn today was that that 1980 Cult Classic "The Stunt Man" is out on DVD. A small bit of happy news in the otherwise unhappy day in history.
