Journal Journal: Apache on Playstation 2
I have the official Linux kit from Sony, for my Playstation 2. It's quite cute, except that I'm not a massive fan of Linux.
Anyway, it comes with loads and loads of packages, and I set about installing a few of them, just for kicks.
I installed Apache 1.3.20, just because it was there. It seemed quite snappy and responsive, but only a few days ago did I get around to benchmarking it. It's quite impressive.

This is over twice the performance I got from my Sun Blade 100, running Solaris 8.
Interesting?
