Journal: Linux on the desktop

I am now in the process of converting my main PC over to Linux. Migrating to Linux based applications is more difficult than I had imagined before purchasing my new PC. A Dell 3000n (Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz w/512 MB RAM & 80 GB Ultra ATA HDD, purchased without an OS).

My distro: Fedora Core 3. So far so good -- but I miss RealPlayer and the jukebox features (writing playlists to CD and my wifes Rio Sport).

I purchased the Turboprint drivers to support my photo printer (cannon i470D). OpenOffice is not a problem as we have been using it for a while now.

I will keep this journal updated as I decommision my Windows PC.
