Journal Journal: Google Games?

It appears that searching for a game name and release date in Google brings up the release date, both old and new, for games. I know. Amazing. It is pretty handy though. It also seems to work for books and movies, though the accuracy is somewhat limited when the same name exists for movies, books, or games.

Who do I contact for slashdot suggestions. I like reading slashdot a lot but I have a deep burning hatred for poor spelling and grammar. This is the sort of the thing editors/moderators are supposed to pickup on and change. Here are some examples from 1/24/05. "In a very low key announcement on his blog, Ben Goodger, lead developer for Firefox, has announce that effective from a couple of weeks ago, he has become a Google employee. In practice his day to day job won't change that much, in that he will still lead Firefox through its forthcoming releases, but with Google paying his wages, we can be sure that new and interesting overlap between the Mozilla Foundation's browsers and Google's services are sure to develop." This could be the work of some online translator though, since it is really that bad. I pray that it is. Minor spelling error: "Jeff Pulver, the guy who started Free World Dialup (free VoIP network) and had the germ of the idea that turned into Vonage, has launched a P2P network called Bellster that allows users to share their private lines to make calls anywhere on the public-switched telephone network. Interesting stuff, even if it doesn't look quite ready for prime-time." The germ? I think you mean "gem." Ironically this is something high school yearbook editors can pick up on at the tender age of seventeen. There were many more today, this is just a small sample. How can people who have no understanding of the English language be allowed to post front page news items? Where is the accountability, the journalistic integrity? It makes me sad. :(
