ALSA sucks ass, and doesn't work in most cases. All of you people that brag about how great linux is, it sucks.
At least in Windows, when I put a soundcard in my computer, I don't have to recompile a kernel and edit text files based on some instructions that were written by a drunk guy at 3:00am after 30 hours of coding. It also doesn't help that he wrote the documentation in English then passes off a babelfish'ed version in English. I tell you, Linux sucks ass. There's no way it is ready for the desktop.
One of the most overlooked advantages to computers is... If they do foul up, there's no law against whacking them around a little. -- Joe Martin
