Journal: Website traffic

Sometimes I wonder if there is a way to increase website traffic (specifically to adsense ads) so that I can actually make money on my site. I've submitted my page to various search engines, as well as Alexa. The .xml sitemap was generated using a sitemap generator, so I believe it is clean.

So Slashdotters, what do you do to make your site get those wanted hits on your ads?
