It's been 3 weeks now, that I've been on my new job as Oracle DBA/Cold Fusion Programmer. And let me tell you, coming onto a project in mid stream is absolutly brutal. I'm here trying to figure out a piece of code in a language I don't know (yet), which is part of a system where the documentation is scarce.
To top it all off, this is a trial-by-fire sort of arrangement. I had a two week overlap with the last guy (who did all of the development on this project), and now I'm on my own. Luckily, my boss is sympathetic to my plight, and is giving me some time to get up to speed.
Aahhh! The wonders of a career change! I'll keep smiling, and try to stay calm.
