Well I got the job, it sucks, the "tech bench" is not a bench, it's barely a strip of table, almost everything i do needs to be sent away anyways and because I have no tech computer (to scan for viruses, do backups etc...) I end up doing formats and reinstalls as the solution to every problem. Money is tight but the visa is getting paid down, I hope by april it will be totally paid off. Still hate this town but I'm surviving.

moving soon, hopefully I get the job I want. I have a test today to see if I get it, the first time I took it I failed, here's hoping for better luck. I don't really want to leave my current job as it is awesome and the guys are really cool and the pay is good enough for me.

Work is good, woman is happy (thus I am happy) computers are working, no diseases, I guess that means I'm a lucky man.

Work (people buying computers) has been very slow as of late. It could be the weather. I owe about $1000 to student loans, car insurrance is comming up as well. June is going to be a lean month.

Went golfing on sunday for the first time in years. I suck but I got new clubs so it's time for some practice.

I modded my xbox. Nothing beats watching 24, playing snes/n64/nes/genesis/mame games on one single $250 machine. I can put away all my old systems and forget having to lug cartridges and all that around.

Life is pretty mediocre all around but I can't complain, I have a good woman and a job and a place to stay. I can't complain (too much)

It's been crazy busy at my work because of sasser, all of us are working on clearing it off pc's and getting them out the door. The good news is most of the people are buying routers. I got an xbox and a mod chip so I shall soon be running some flavour of linux on a $200 pc with built in TV out huzzah.

due to busy tax times and payroll stuff I don't get paid until monday. I guess thats fates way of saying I don't need a ps2 or xbox just yet.

Did my taxes myself online, got $321 back. That should cover the ps2 and a mod chip and maybe the linux kit, though I haven't seen it in stores here. Business is slow but the company still pays me, though I hope it picks up soon.

Damn tax season, I think I may just have to go to H&R block and let them take a cut to avoid the hassle. My iPod keeps me company on the days I need to walk to work, the trouble is I can't hear cars or people.

Been a long while since my last update. Working 6 days a week at a job I love, money is ok (still in debt but paying it off) and the house is clean the ps1&2 run great and all my boxes have been running flawlessly. What I'm waiting for now is a meteor to hit me. In other news my slashdot karma is still bad even though I got a +2 funny moderation, I must have seriously screwed something up before heh.

Living on your own sucks sometimes, especially the times where the $100 grocery bill only gets you 2-3 weeks of food (if that!). In other news the once disaster of a house is getting cleaned up(g/f moved in truckloads of stuff) and organized. The computer i now use the most is my linux computer and it's at 20 days uptime and still chuggin along, playing games with winex. Other than debts and mess, life is good, i just wish my karma was.

Madonna's website got hacked today because of her releasing an mp3 on filesharing networks that has her saying "what the fuck do you think you're doing" Obviously someone was offended and has since posted her entire american life album on www.madonna.com plus a few remixes. How about lowering god damn cd prices instead of being a bitch mmkay?

Well I finally got fed up with my serial mouse not working (see last journal) and i went and got the new debian 3.0 r1 iso and installed it and everything works great! posting this from phoenix in fluxbox => Also today was my birthday, i had an awesome dinner my g/f cooked for me then i got drunk and went to the strip bar with some friends and my g/f.

I hate serial mice, or debian does. I never used to have a problem setting them up but since upgrading debian to 3.0 and Xfree to 4.3 the damn things don't work. I fear i may have to buy a new "beside the bed" computer

just watched 1984, excellent movie. It does justice to the book.

installed postnuke on an old p200 i cobbled together; seems to work pretty good. I'm hoping to get some visitors from around town here to come and talk about games and maybe post reviews of them as well.
