Journal Journal: Ion Drive Tangent: Shape of the Universe
Reading the article on Ion propotion reminds me of an earlier discussion.
If the universe eventually wraps around in the 4th dimension, light will travel around infinite times. So if we look far enough, we can see ourselves (earth) earlier in history. Would it be a paradox to see the Big Bang?
But then this builds on the theory that the universe wraps around. What if it just falls off in the 4th dimension? Consider if you were a 2D person living on a piece of paper. When you travel to the edge, do you fall off or do you go to the other side?
And what if it's really shaped like a funnel as discussed in this earlier post?
