Journal: What would you do to fix America?

I'm looking for comments, suggestions and other ideas on how to fix America. Please... please dear God... don't start a war on who's right, left, wrong, evil, corrupt or cross dressing, I don't care. What I'm looking for are some of the things that have gone wrong (like copyright law), and what you'd do to fix them. Stuff other countries have done that worked would be good too. It can be anything, and if you can show 'close calls' (things that almost went right), that's cool too. So... have at it. Education? Health care? Campaign Finance? Defense? Arts? Energy? Law? Go for it.
