Journal Journal: Upgrades and Downgrades for my PC

After installing Windows XP over my windows 98 plus (hey, I thought it was a good idea) I soon realised what I had done. Crashes, viruses, unstable network connections. All problems that were inexistant when I used to have a nice windows 98/RedHat 9.x dual boot. But alas, windows XP seemed to have a stronger offense than RedHat and was able to hide it from me and my inexperience in dual booting systems.

Today thought, I had enough. After 20 minutes of refreshing CTRL+ALT+DEL's latest comic page to get the full thing, I went over to linuxISO.org and started to look around. After a few hours, I was ready to choose what Linux distro's I was ready to download, put onto a CD (images of course) and partition my drive, ulitimatly erasing my dreaded foe, Windows XP .

This is what I chose for my 40 gigabyte hard-drive:
- 5 gigs. to College Linux
- 5 gigs. to Gentoo Linux
- 10 gigs. to Mandrake Linux
- 20 gigs. to Windows 98 Plus!

And of course I always have my faithful Knoppix 3.3 bootable CD and am looking into getting LindowsLive!, SuSeEval and MandrakeMove bootable CD's just for the sake of it. (Also, to give to others so that they may experience the Linux goodness.).
