since the last time i posted in here, now the apprentice is lame. that's all i can think of to write in here.

Ok, I just saw the first episode of season 2, it's a cool show; I never got into season 1 (mostly because I was not able to watch it due to something else in my schedual, not sure what it was), but the show is really cool. I'll be watching it.

been a while, relative to how often I've previously written in this thing.

I got iTunes on my computer again, spent all yesterday putting my CD's on it, and I put the album covers with all the songs, that's pretty cool.

did I mention that i've been on vacation for the past few days? actually from wednesday to sunday. I start school tomorrow. I've already started Shasta, but this is the real stuff, to be more specific, history and english, where I actually get loads of homework.
I did get my first assignment from my computer class, I have to make a flowchart. I do believe that making flowcharts will have a positive effect on my programming. If anyone is reading this comment your thoughts/experiences on flowcharts.
back to the real world here, I DLed mozilla sunbird, looks prommising; all i have to say.

Isn't it frustrating when you can't figure something out, and you can't find the solution primarily because you can't find the problem? I hate that! It ticks me off! Especially when the problem is from your computer, and your trying to get a LAN party in motion, then you can't play and your still trying to figure out what the problem is. Yeah that just happened to me. It sucked.

things have been slow lately. Nothing exciting happening. I'm studying VPN's so that I can set one up for my dad. They're interesting; I can't wait till I get it set up.

right now I'm reading some articles from gamedev.net, but I'm having a really hard time following along. I'm on #2 of the code on the cob stuff and I'm at a standstill because I have no idea what he's talking about when he starts setting up the project.

I hate fileplanet! Is there any altournative (sp?) to downloading game files like the halflife SDK? BAAH!

Oh my other monitor is crap, switching back...

My primary is a 17" crt, quality ok, too apathetic to look up anything else it has good about it, just looks better; my second is an old 15" crt that's really blurry and hurts my eyes. Has way different colors than my good one.

BTW, if you havn't noticed, I'm the budget type, my good monitor was given to me by my uncle; my other moniter I inherrited with my first computer, an old crappy compaq desktop that my dad was done with. All life had been sucked out of that thing by my brothers and I playing games on it. The USB drives didn't even work. Now, it's sitting not too far away from me, removed of its IDE cables (which I rounded and am using in the beauty that's now in front of me), sporting a CD drive that cant open, and stripped of its ruined floppy drive (which I dismantled; I found the reason it wasn't working, it was full of dirt and crud). At one point I thought about turning it into a file server for my LAN, but once the CD drive wouldn't open it became a scavenging box.

I just made my first three comments in the "How Google Could Overthrow AIM" story. Hooraya for me!

I'm having some barny (barny ruble... trouble) with getting the headline grabber by Health C. Ice to use on my website. I'd really like to get that working. The problem is somewhere along the lines of me using a page from a PHPBB addon I would think.
The situation is: In my forum directory, I have the page called news.php(which I created using the blank page template mod), which links to news.tpl(also with the blank page template mod) where I have followed the instructions as best I could and placed the required tags where specified. I also have the slashdot.php(which contains the function to grab the headlines) file in the same directory as the news.tpl. I will experiment more with this today.

An extremely happy event has befallen me today. Just as I was wrighting this I recieved my hard drive through FedEx, after waiting a week and a half after sending it in for a replacement. The happiness does not come purely from me recieving a replacement of my ruined 120GB hard drive, but that the replacement was a 250GB hard drive.
YEEEHAW!

I've finally registered to slashdot. I didn't ever get my activation and password email, so I used the "I forgot my password" link. I did eventually get that email after... oh about 15 minutes, most likely less than that; I probably would have gotten it in less than 5 minutes if I wasn't eating dinner.
But my email did come, I have no problems with it comming a little late, but this sort of thing has happened alot lately. 1st with my gmax code, didn't get it the first, second, finally I used the link they had to email a person my problem (had to wait over night for that one, a real pisser off that one), then it happened with my web host and my password recovery, and now with this. I wonder if it's my ISP.
