Journal Journal: SlashAd
It's very dissapointing to see how slashdot has become more and more depending trought the years, sure, im a relatively new slashdot registered user (having tracked slashdot from earlier as an "anonymous coward"), and i sure think more than one of the old users would agree that slashdot is going more and more on the slashvertisement....
Im really prompted to abandon reading slashdot (believe me, that rarely it is interesting anymore, and im really dissapointed, because i liked slashdot very much), im not going to promote a blog or something like that, because everybody here knows one that's surely a better (or more interesting) read than slashdot for them
i had tried to do something nice from time to time metamoderating and so. (not a big karma fight fan, and obviously not the most collabourative newbie slashdot user ), but i see stories posted decreasing and decreasing in quality. Before, everyone copied slashdot, and now, users from other sites like slashdot post their stories here (im not saying that the first doesn't still happen), it's so.
I'm also not stating that slashdot is dead, im sure that as anything that is going in bad shape someone would take the effort to re-think it and to improve it, im sure hope Rob himself realizes that slashdot needs it
I hope that slashdot can once again say: "News for Nerds, Stuff that matters"
Good luck!. Roliverio
