Journal Journal: Make the White House Facebook a democracy

This is something that I wrote that I fear may not be published as a story. The White House is using Facebook as a place to try and educate people about what they are up to. I believe this to be a very good step for allowing otherwise inactive citizens to participate. In response to the updates, people are allowed to click "Like", and have their vote of approval counted, while those who may disapprove have no method of having their votes of "Dislike" counted, and are left to leave dissenting opinions on the message boards. I demand that posts from our government must allow us to show our opposition, in the form of a Dislike Button, and vote count. We cannot allow our goverment to only count the votes that go their way. This would not have any effect on actual decision making, but could serve as an informal gage of public opinion on ideas. Any supporters out there?
