I am looking for a tech summer job in the Doylestown (or surrounding) area. I know it is pretty crazy, looking this late in the game, especially with the economy, but I figure that I should try. I am graduating soon (Saturday, June 12) and should be around pretty much all summer until college starts (end of August). If anyone can help, I would be extremly grateful.

Its been a while since my last post, but I have finally decided, after a long and confusing process, what my college is going to be. Beloit College in Southern Wisconsin. Just thought I'd update that.

With finals next week, we see the end of the term nearing. This means only one thing... SPRING BREAK! Woo!

Of course, I'm probably just going to stay home and stare at my computer screen all day... or visit colleges... or something else, but I don't know what.

Haven't written in a while, but there probably aren't very many people reading anyway...

UPDATE: It is up to four colleges accepting me: Beloit, Goucher, Kalamazoo, and McDaniel. I was deferred from Lawrence and am still waiting for Wooster.

If anyone here (that also happens to be reading my journal) goes to or went to any of these schools, please contact me (message or post in my journal) and let me know what you think/thought about them.

It snowed today. First time this year. It makes me happy. Hopefully, we will soon get more than just a few flurries.

UPDATE: Well, we have recieve the 'more than a few flakes' in the form of 6 inches in two days. Not as much as I hade hoped, but it is a start.

I finally have Linux running on my old box. I will probably take a few hours every day to start learning it. Comments welcome, even encouraged.

Well, tomorrow, I move back into my dorm room until Xmas break. Without Wolfenstein to get in the way, I will have more time for Slashdot. W007!

Yes, I have finally joined the rest of the world: I have seen Spirited Away , and it is freakin' amazing! I mean... damn! Miyazaki weaves an amazing, fantistic tale of wonder that really draws the audience in. I really reccomend it.

My post mentioning GATTACA made me think a little. We, as a society, have been moving closer and closer to GATTACA and DNAism. That really scares me. Comments welcome.

Halo 2 will be twenty cents cheaper at Walmart than Microsoft's given price. Of course, Walmart does charge an attitional ninety-seven cents for shipping...

Dorm life has changed my views on what is odd or even disturbing. For example, a short bearded guy being chased through a dorm by a short European guy only in his underwear shouting things in German and waving two pool cue halves is something that I would have considered odd three years ago. Did I mention that the bearded guy was being chased because he poured American (Hershey's®) chocolate syrup on a piece of German chocolate? And that the German guy had a lot of trouble getting back in his room afterwards? Or that it was study weekend? How about the fact that I am not making anything up in this short essay? The names of those involved have been changed to protect, well, me. It all started on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in a Junior/Senior dorm that goes by the name of Drayton. I was going up to the room of a friend (whom I will call naI) to collect some money. Soon after I am in the room, I hear a hissing sound behind me. I turn around with a start and find the head of the German guy (henceforth to be called kcirtaP) staring at me and hissing at me. Seeing as it was 2 P.M., and that he was still in bed, I was somewhat appalled. Well, to be honest, I really don't care when people sleep in the afternoon, I was only looking for an excuse not to study. Now fast forward to the point when the short, bearded guy (nahtaN) comes in to help get kcirtaP up. Since kcirtaP is German, he is very much against American chocolate, thus nahtaN figured that the best way to get him up is to mix German and American chocolate. It worked. kcirtaP jumped out of bed in only his underwear and chased nahtaN down the hall with two pool cue halves. As a short epilogue, I would like to say that twenty minutes later, kcirtaP came to my room where nahtaN was with a water balloon filled with American chocolate and nahtaN had to consume much of the chocolate and was unhappy.
