Journal Journal: Mandrake 10.1 == The Shit
All my hardware works out of the box, including scanner and printer, without any tweaking. SCORE! Well, yes this takes away the fun...but, hey it Just Works, and that is a good sign.
This is particularly exciting because my Epson Stylus CX5400 Printer/Scanner/Copier absolutely refused to do anything in Suse Pro 9.1 except simple page prints (with screwed up margins), despite several days of tweaking, and even following a step-by-step known-to-work install walkthrough. Having it just come up, with even an automagically placed Kooka (scanning util) icon on my desktop is absofuckinglutely incredible.
