Journal: State of things

Okay so I know that no one is probably going to read this but I needed to rant anyways. Does anyone else remember when the comments on slashdot where actually useful? I have had a lot of mod points recently and have taken to browsing constantly at -1, and half of the shite that gets posted is useless crap and even more of it is childish immature bullshite. The FP's and the Trolls on here mind boggling. IMHO this is a prime example http://science.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=159417&cid=13350549, the Parent was an intelligent and useful post, taught me something I didn't know. So YTF did this guy feel the need to personally bash him? I AM SO BLOODY TIRED OF IT, DID NO ONE HERE EVER GET TOLD "If you don't have something constructive to say SHUT THE HELL UP". meh...I do my little bit about it. Hopefully people will eventually mature, though I guess this is just wishful thinking.
