Journal Journal: On self-promotion, Linux user-groups and Xen virtualization
Well, I finally got linux running under my Xen virtual hosting system I've been running text ads for a while now on K5 but I must have screwed up my ad copy. after getting pretty consistant 0.5% click-through rates for NetBSD domu images, my click-through rates on the ad announcing the availability of Linux images is closer to 0.1%. I'm advertising via google Adwords as well, but that just started, so we will see how it goes.
I have invited myself to speak at the local Linux users group a little more than a week from now, speaking about Xen virtualization. It's good, as the slides I need to write for that are the same as the slides I need to write for my customers.
I'm quite excited about the xen-get tool. With some minor tweaks I am planning, it seems that it could be used to easily move your domu between Xen providers. Commodification is key!
