Journal Journal: Beginning PHP 5 and MySQL

Some of you may remember the book posted a while back called Beginning PHP and MySQL. Since I'm particularly interested in these two topics I figured I'd check it out. I've only read the first few chapters but it's pretty interesting and hopefully it'll be able to learn me better than the PHP manual did.

Journal Journal: Secret MP2 Sites?

According to Samus.co.uk, these two sites: Channel 51 and Orbis Labs are actually websites maintained by Nintendo as what they call 'teaser' sites for the game. Now, I've never heard of either of these places, yet somehow they found them, and they also somehow knew that there were secret MP2 marketing sites. While after them pointing out some things, it still does not seem entirely obvious to me, unless I do notice those things. Maybe it's just me, not paying enough attention, as I am apt to do.

Journal Journal: Fill Me Up, Buttercup

People need to wear longer clothes. News flash: your underwear is no-one else's business. Too bad nobody will read this and realise that maybe, just maybe, they should wear their pants so that the crotch of the pants aligns with the crotch of their person. In other news, I figured out in 6th period today that I am totally fucking screwed. AGAIN. I don't understand why I allow myself to get into such situations even though I know I can get out of them. However, I know that my parents will want to talk again, and I don't care what they do, I'm not going to. This cold set me back a couple years however. Maybe once we move into space colonies disease will be eradicated so people don't have to deal with colds or HIV or any of that shit. Here's hoping for a safer and disease-free (not to mention idiot-free) future in space. Peace.

Journal Journal: To the big ones upstairs

To whichever holy power came up with the idea of headaches, when I die I will obliterate you. Of course thank whoever came up with aspirin on the flip-side. Now, onto real issues. Today we took a field trip for my Scheme class. We were originally supposed to go to a Lake Washington Vocational Tech School, but apparently some dude f*cked up and we ended up at ITT Technical Institute. Not that that's a bad thing, mind you. The place did rock pretty hard, and it seems like a good idea after i graduate, but I still have my heart set on DigiPen at this point in time. It's an alternative, however. While we were there we took a short tour (I say short in the sense of what the rest of the day was comprised of), and then for the rest it was all gaming. One room was dedicated to a Project Gotham Racing 2 tourney on the Xbox (I didn't enter, I still do not plan on touching an Xbox or any of its peripherals with my bare hands), while in another they had two servers set up for Unreal Tournament 2k4. Problem was we had to alternate cause they only had 12 comps set up and everyone who wanted to play had to get a chance. I was owning, though. Probably because they had plenty of mods going on, otherwise I would've been the one getting owned. Either way it was a pretty awesome day, as I've never played it before and really wanted to (need monies for new computer!!!!!). We got pizza for lunch (they ordered fifty of them for some reason, incredibly odd considering that there was not many on the trip to begin with. Apparently they're giving the leftovers to their night schoolers, though. They say that there's more people coming in at the later hours due to most of them having jobs and all. I'd say screw that I'd take the night shift and be up all night. Hopefully when I'm older if I don't get into DigiPen I can get into here, it seems like they have really good courses that I could probably get into a lot. Anyways, peace.

Journal Journal: A Good Day to Teleport

Today was an interesting day, as is every other day of my life. We had a late arrival at school so I didn't have to come in until 9:55 (I still got there early, that's just how I am.) Started out in Scheme, did almost nothing in there except copy my Trig. assignment out of the answers in the back of the book. Thank God I have a field trip tomorrow, as life is much easier when you don't have to put up with it. I'll probably get somewhere in Pokemon, like I haven't done for the past several weeks. Of course, today was so awesome in L.A. We had a thing that the teacher called a "Socratic Seminar" and it fucking rocked. Half of the class was put in the inner-circle, where they got to talk about different stuff, while the Outer Circle got to listen. Unforunately I had to listen, but I was evaluating the girl I have a crush on so it wasn't all bad, plus the people were actually talking about stuff. I mean, sure, their intellects are nowhere near my own, but who gives? Real conversation. Peace.
