Journal Journal: Dutch goverment raids houses without a warrant
The Dutch government is currently raiding self owned houses of people without any warrant or suspicion of illegal activities. The original story (4 parts) can be found here (translated but understandable):

The basic story goes like this:
First a man and a woman rang the doorbell and say they are here to check the house in the name of the city gouverment. The man refuses and the 2 people leave.
Next they send a letter which states that the search is legally obligated. If the man refuses to let them in, they will come back at a later time and break in the door even if the owner is not at home.
In the third part the man calls to the city council to ask in which article of the law it is allowed to do such a thing. After a lot of discussion the man of the city council gives the house owner a fax number and he should fax his questions to there. The only problem is that the fax numbers are incorrect and he still doesn't know in which article of the law it states that the government is allowed to break in peoples houses.
