Journal: Good News...

John Ashcroft has resigned from the Bush administration.

Sweet.

But the thing that worries me is this: who (or is it whom?) will they replace him with? After all, one of the first actions of this guy was to cover a statute of Lady Justice because (gasp!) you could see her breasts. If this administration believes (and I think they do) that this is reasonable behavior, what kind of wacko are they going to replace him with?

Now, for a rather snarky comment. The article (linked above) quoted Ashcroft: "The objective of securing the safety of Americans from crime and terror has been achieved."

Gee, I thought they told me less than a month ago that I had to vote for Bush because America was not secure?
