Comment Re:Fragile humans (Score 1) 179

It is true that the earth has more hard surfaces than we can produce pads for. Maybe.

But I don't think it holds that the earth equates to the world. The world is all the places that we as a collective exists in. And I am not so sure we wouldn't be able to build a padded cell big enough to stuff all the people into, then that would become our world. Purely a philosophical reasoning though.

So the question really comes down to that you possibly meant* the earth when you said the world, and I took it as an abstract construct that equals the place we live.

* Again; I make assumptions, it's a great character flaw.

And these large artificial neural models that are open for all to use lowers the bar substantially for a horny and/or bullied teenager to do this.

it's not really non-deterministic, the model is just too large for humans to determine the output of any input.

but given the same input under the same conditions would have resulted in the same output. Something that unfortunately is impossible to reproduce since the model have already changed after the output is given.

Not even quantum computers will become non-deterministic, the closest thing we can have is a camera looking at a robot arm throwing dice (or an analogue to this). And yet it would still not be non-deterministic, just too complex to tell the output.

Not really, when the quantum wave form collapse in a certain way that seem undeterministic is because you existed in the universe it collapsed in that way. It could not have collapsed in the other way in this universe.

Now if it were set before that or not is a philosophical question more than a physical one.

First off, it's always nice to be able to surprise a fellow human being every once in a while.

Disregarding the problem of transporting it up the gravity well.

I was kind of expecting the spacecraft to already be up there.

But if the spacecraft is up there? How do we get the bound co2 up to the spacecraft? Are you contemplating an elevator? Have you been having naughty thoughts? :-p
