Journal: PSP vs DS in 2006.

Just when Nintendo thought they had the handheld market locked down, Sony showed up with a stylish, versitile, and powerful machine. It has been over a year since the release of both systems, so who's winning the race in 2006? Nintendo DS has been outselling the PSP worldwide, but the PSP is not very far behind. Sony's PSP may surpass Nintendo's DS more easily than Nintendo may have suspected, and here is why....

While Nintendo may have the better quality games, there aren't enough of these games to get people buying a DS. Sony is starting to offer better games on the PSP, and it's getting people interested in owning one. Especially those people who regularly watch movies, may find that getting a system with multiple abilities is better than something innovative and unique like the DS.

Nintendo seems like they're missing out with the DS. Developers have to work harder to develop a game (that has to basically be exclusive) for a system that is a questionable success at this point. Thus, the DS is seeing less games than the PSP which adds more to the PSP's favor.
