Donate it to someone local. I have been in need of an older/cheap laptop for quite a while. I'm sure there are a lot of people near you who could give it quite a few more years of use.
If it happens once, it's a bug. If it happens twice, it's a feature. If it happens more than twice, it's a design philosophy.
