Journal Journal: Do people really care about rumble?

I seem to be alone on this, and it really confuses me: I can't stand the rumble feature on console controllers. Do people really give a damn about force feedback? Rather than aiding immersion into the game, I always felt that it takes away from the experience. Of all the times I've punched people in real life, it never felt like I was holding a vibrator, so why do this in a video game? Unless the game is "Jackhammer Joe" or "Zelda's Sexual Awakening" I don't really see the point. Am I missing something? What does rumble actually accomplish for you as a gamer?
