Journal Journal: Topics for Today

Today I posted a comment on the 'The skeptical environmentalist,' with regards to the ideological underpinnings of the debates on environmentalism going on nowadays. My thoughts on these issues are based on the idea that there are interests out there that stand to lose quite a bit from the green movement.

It is also pretty obvious that there is a green-ist slant to the scientific community, since poll after poll, and survey after survey show that liberalism in the educated populace is proportional to its proximity to their academic institution / alma mater.
So, regardless of the quality of the science, what seems to be governing this debate is the ideology beneath it all. And for this reason, I quoted the Ayn Rand Institute in my post, using it as an example of the kind of corporate shill that left-leaning scientists are up against.
