Well seeing the AC response I did learn a couple of things not exactly what he/she pointed out, but I did or more exactly I just forgot that the web is just like RL in certain ways, frankly I don't know what I started insulting or at least using words that when doesn't apply are ofensive otherwise they're are just the simple thruth.

Anyway I won't retract of what I posted, but as smart as I am(heh ain't modest me?) Try Mono 1.0 or Perl 5.8.5 NOW! Just don't try python or ruby for they are evil and nothing good can come from them.

Note to self user vt0asta found guilty of Perl Zealotry(or whatever). By no providing better arguments than perl "has larger this and that".

Pasting the "Plataforms" on which perl runs from the Cpan site gives him xtra zealot points, didn't knew Japanese was a plataform...,mmh somebody should fix that list, stock Mingw doesn't compile perl, and I found the process very irritating, I thought that win32 included win9x,NT,win2k?, and XP.

Perl isn't real bad by itself, but is an old shoe, has been and never will be again, there's many options out there and those not having a CPAN is a good thing, thought, perl'll "fade" away very slowly. Better is better, bigger isn't, popular neither.

Maybe he's concerned that the perl userbase as big as it is, is slowly eroding, losing members to Ruby, Python, Php and whatnot just appeared or has reappeared.
