Some people will need to see mass starvation from massive failures of overspecialized crops before they realize there is a problem. Just as some people won't believe there is global warming problem until the Washington DC K Street lobbyists offices get flooded and they tell their bought and paid for politicians that it's real.

That is an extremely self centered, selfish view of the world.

Overpopulation is a problem that is getting worse, the selfish ones are the ones that have lots of children.

US customs operates at the Toronto Airport (maybe a couple of others too?). That way flights from Toronto can go to directly to US cities without US customs facilities.

MS's effort to emulate the iWalledGarden has been a partial success. They have a more impervious wall than Apple does. Too bad MS can't grow anything useful inside their wall.

Win 8 is like a car that has technically better performance in ways that the average driver will never notice. It is also uglier than sin and the starter, steering and brakes have all been changed and moved around to places the driver won't except them to be.

I'm a little skeptic too, but they don't need an intelligent crowd, they only need a crowd with the right intelligent person in the crowd.

It's amazingly easy, just stick with 7 and you don't even have to turn Metro off. For the desktop and serious laptop, 8 is a solution in search of a problem.
